Toddler

Ages: 12-24 Months
Student/Teacher Ratio – 1:5

Toddlers explore the world physically and spontaneously. They are inquisitive and reach several milestones in their first two years of life. At this age, mobility comes into play as toddlers move from crawling to walking to running and jumping. Their fine motor skills continue to develop and they become better able to explore their environment.

Children at this age start playing near each other and communicate with sounds, gestures, and facial expressions. They learn through observation, listening, and trying new activities. They are continuing to gain muscle control and coordination, and constructive purposeful play allows the children to explore and learn while building physical and socialization skills. The Creative Curriculum® focuses on meaningful interactions to help children regulate their emotions, develop relationships, and gain confidence in their own learning.
